Counseling ServicesRonnie Kolotkin, Ph.D.I do my best to provide an atmosphere of safety without judgment for each client, recognizing that each person is unique. Therapy is a collaborative process: we work together to clarify your concerns, validate your strengths, and find strategies to improve your life. Although my specialty is eating and weight issues, I work with all individuals who wish to improve their quality of life. Common issues include stress, relationships, sexual functioning/sexuality, self-esteem, grief, career, time management, and obstacles to change. I have been in clinical practice for 15+ years, and was the former Behavioral Health Director at Duke University Diet and Fitness Center. In addition to clinical practice, I am also a Consulting Professor at Duke University School of Medicine. I have flexible hours: Prefer weekends, but early mornings/evenings and daytime also available. See details at the Psychologist Locator website. Just enter Kolotkin into the Last Name field and click Find a Psychologist. Recently, Dr. Kolotkin gave an interview on NPR on "Sexual Intimacy and Weight." She also has created a CD entitled "Healthy Thoughts" that contains over 70 positive affirmations to help you take charge of your health and life.
